Meet The President
Stephen Moore, widely known as Coach Moore, was born and raised in South Florida in the small town of Pahokee, Florida. He attended Canal Point Elementary School before continuing his education at Pahokee Middle–Senior High School, where his passion for athletics began to take shape. Raised by a single mother alongside five siblings, Coach Moore was taught the importance of love, respect, discipline, and cherishing every moment of life. Those values became the foundation of who he is today—as a coach, mentor, and leader.
He credits his mother for instilling the strength, work ethic, and compassion that continue to guide his mission.
Coach Moore’s love for track and field was inspired by his older brother, Antone, who introduced him to the sport at an early age. Taking that inspiration to the next level, Coach Moore dedicated himself to training and competition, ultimately running elite times that earned him full athletic scholarship offers from major collegiate programs, including the University of Oregon and the University of Florida, among many others.
Today, Coach Moore brings those life lessons and experiences into everything he does at Florida Speed Academy, using athletics as a tool to develop speed, confidence, discipline, and character in youth athletes. His goal is not only to build faster athletes, but to mentor young people toward success both on and off the track.
